The results are in...

The results are in! I’m very excited to have 9 survey responses so far, all very detailed and helpful! I have a few more contacts to get in touch with, and I can push the posts more, so I’m hoping for 10-15 responses in total. This would give me a good number to analyse, whilst not being too many, it will help eliminate any anomalous results and create a good overview of different people’s experiences in the industry. 

I hope to contact specific people about this survey, as this will help me ensure that the responses are from the area of the industry I’m looking at (i.e. independent, startup musicians). However, I will be able to recognise if there are people outside of this niche with some of the questions in the survey, like ‘how long have you been pursuing a music career’ or ‘what is your marketing budget’. I expect the responses from my target audience to be a few years of pursuing the career, and a limited, if any, marketing budget, so any responses outside of this I can analyse further to identify if they are part of my target audience. This will help me collect the most relevant data and ensure the outcome is targeted to the right people.
