About Me
Hi, I'm Mia and I'm the creator of Amplify! I'm currently a 3rd Year Bachelors of Music Student at the University of Sheffield and my passion for music has developed over my years studying. I believe that social media can be used as a platform to grow and nurture audiences for independent musicians and larger record labels and I'm passionate about bringing this asset to young emerging musicians to help them thrive in this ever-changing industry.
My Work
I have been learning music since I was 7 and my passion for it has just grown over time. Whilst studying at music I threw myself into lots of opportunities including the University Record Label, Octagon Records. With Octagon I had the opportunity to explore music marketing and run the social media accounts. This sparked a love for music marketing and a passion for using social media to drive musicans' careers forwards and has led me to creating my own business
My Passions
I love all kinds of music - from listening to anything and everything I can find to performing in both an orchestra and a jazz fusion band. As someone who loves performing, but doesn't want to pursue it as a full-time career, I love watching my friends learn, grow and succeed in their careers. One of the most tangible ways I see people reaching new audiences and booking new gigs is through social media, and this is why it's one of my favourite ways to advertise musicians. I love working with new people and connecting with clients so don't be afraid to get in touch!
